Strata Management Case Updates – 21 Exclusive: Developer, JMB and MC is now required to identify proprietors who have arrears of quit rent

The recent amendments made to the Strata Titles (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) Rules 2019 (which will come into force on 1.1.2020) has now made any developer, JMB, MC or managing agent appointed by COB to:

(a) identify and record details of parcels which have arrears of quit rent in Form F of schedule 1;

(b) hold an AGM or its equivalent to notify the parcel proprietor the amount of arrears of quit rent; and

(c) submit Form F together with the minutes of AGM and the list of parcel proprietors who have arrears of quit rent to the Director within 30 days after the AGM.
